If you travel because you are curious about the world,
prefer quiet and green areas to a noisy city centre BUT
still want quick and easy access to all the main attractions then this is the place for you.
Hostel Relax offers a taste of Hungary as well
as quiet and economical accommodation for backpackers, with free Wi-Fi as well.
We are only 18 min by public transport to the city centre
and just a short bus ride to the airport, so no need for expensive airport transfer fees (airport transfer is 11800 HUF, a 7 day public transport card is 4600 HUF,
single bus trip to us 320 HUF).
This new mini hostel is a home away from home. It has two spacious 4 bed dorms and a private budget room for 2 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen with free tea and coffee and a place to store luggage we also have two showers and toilets with soap and hand towels free available to guests. The communal area is an enclosed terrace overlooking the garden with a collection of games and DVD’s for your enjoyment. In the garden there is a BBQ pit and table tennis game for your use or you can just relax in the sun. In the summer season we can accommodate a tent and bicycles if you are touring the country in this way, a separate shower and sink is available in a modern outbuilding for campers to use.
The hostel is situated in a quiet area and within a 2 min walk of a fishing lake a public forest is also close by for walking and horse riding. Other amenities in the neighbourhood include a bowling centre, indoor golf, squash and a swimming pool. Closeby are restaurants with typical Hungarian specialities at reasonable prices when compared to the city centre, so excellent value for people who are travelling on a budget. There are food shops as well as a general market a short distance from the hostel and one of Budapest’s largest and most modern shopping centres a few minutes bus ride away, this is also the place where the metro (tube) starts.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable and safe at my place, a real home away from home. I speak English, German, Italian and Russian and having travelled extensively myself I have a good idea of what the needs of budget travellers are. As a native Budapest citizen I am also in a good position to advice you about places to visit both in and out of the guide books.
This is not a party hostel but is set up for people who enjoy travelling and experiencing new places and cultures. There is no age limit, we only ask that you show respect to other guests regardless of gender, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity or nationality.
